Career change?????

P.I Wendy- I am so proud of myself! Justice will be served. Yesterday on my way to work I was hit!!! I was at a STOP sign and a vehicle didn't stop and swiped the side of my car. I pulled forward and pulled over to exchange insurance information and he left!!! I couldn't only get 3 letters of his plate. I tried to get back into traffic but I couldn't. I called the police and they made a report and told me they would run the vehicle and plate information I had but it would be hard to find the guy. I was annoyed that people today feel they can get away with whatever they want. SO...... I headed down to the scene of the accident this morning and waited. This guy is NOT going to get away with this. As I sat on the side of the road I was thinking what will I do.I wouldn't get out or try to stop him but I was ready with my paper and pen. I saw him I put my car in drive and copied down his plate #!!!! I called the police and they are going after him. Justice will be served. The police thanked me and will be in contact to get me his insurance information.
Just call me P.I Wendy!!!!

I would never confront this person or do a high speed chase. It was about being safe and hoping that I would find him so the police could take care of it. They are trained and they do a great job!

Spice Recipes- Lemon Pepper & Chili

Two great recipes for spices
My Aunt Lois is an amazing cook. She makes everything home made.
She made a great recipe the other day and I loved the spices in it.
She makes her own and she passed along the recipes!
I have only tried the Chili and it's so much better then the packets you get in the store.

Lemon-Pepper Seasoning Mix
1/2c. black pepper
3T. dried lemon zest
1 1/2T coriander seeds
2 T. dried minced onion
2T. thyme leaves
Combine all ingredients. Blend well. Store in air tight container.

Chili Seasoning Mix
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup dried parsley flakes
* 1/2 cup chili powder
* 1/4 cup dried minced onion
* 2 tablespoons salt
* 1 tablespoon Caynne pepper (optional)
* 2 tablespoons dried minced garlic
* 2 tablespoons ground cumin
* 1 tablespoon ground coriander
* 1 tablespoon each dried cilantro flakes, basil and oregano
* 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

Great idea- wedding

I was at a wedding last weekend and saw a great idea (I wished I did this). The bride decided that the traditional guest book was not the way she wanted to go. She bought a book (in her case a book about horses that you would use for a coffee table book) and asked all the guest to sign a page that they liked!!! It was great. How often do you look at your guest book. Now you can leave it out everyday!!!!

Oreo Pie

Oreo pie-

Ingredients:
1 pkg Oreo's (I used off brand, reduced fat)
1/4 cup melted butter
8 oz cream cheese (I used off brand, 1/3 less fat)
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
1 tub of cool whip (I used off brand, low-fat)
1/4 cup powder sugar

Directions:

Crush Oreo's ( I used my small food processor). Set aside 1/2 cup for the topping of the pie. Melt butter and add to the remaining Oreo's. Mix and pour into 9 inch pie plate. Pat down Oreo's to form a crust. Beat cream cheese for 2 minutes on high speed. Add powder sugar & 1/4 of the tub of cool whip. Start mixer on a low speed, then beat on med-high for 1-2 minutes. Pour the mixture onto the crust. Make pudding according to directions (I always use 1/4 cup less of milk. It helps make the pudding stiffer). once the pudding has set up pour over cream mix. Take the remaining cool-whip and spread on top and sprinkle with the 1/2 cup of oreo's.
I didn't have a recipe to work with so I made my own. I bought it into work for a going away party for the intern. It was a big success!!

**I made a mini pie for the HB so he could enjoy as well***

Eye- love Dior

DiorDior Mascara
Love it!
When I was in Vegas last September I stopped into my favorite store
Sephora.
I only shop online because I don't have one any where near me
So, very excited. I spent hours just browsing and I finally asked a nice sales person to help me get a great mascara.
She asked what are you looking for?
long, full, thick lashes (isn't everyone)
but...
I ALWAYS get the black circle under my bottom lash's so I need something that will stay on my lashes (I don't ever ever put mascara on my bottom lashes because it's doesn't work for me)
She told me to find a waterproof, black mascara
She showed me:
DiorDiorShow ($24)
My thoughts as she is explaining to me how to apply is: will this work?
Caution aside I bought it
Let me tell you it is great!!!!
I don't get the under the eye circle's and it makes my lashes full!!
Remember I don't have a local Sephora around so I usually wait to put one big order it so I get free shipping
I receive my email from Sephora about new items and what did I see:
DiorDior Maximizer lash plumping serum ($28)

(If you order they send you a sample of mascara)
WOW!!! It's great. My lashes look SOOOOOO long and then with the mascara. I have never had such great looking lashes!!!
I even slept in it last night my eyes still look great when I woke up.
What it does:The newest addition to the family of legendary Diorshow Mascaras, Diorshow Maximizer Lash Primer Serum instantly primes, plumps, and lengthens lashes with an ultra-light and quick-drying formula. The first "active serum" mascara primer also contains a unique cell-conditioning complex made up of hydrolyzed soy proteins that promote long-term lash growth, strength, and vitality
** I was not asked or paid to advertise this product. I wanted to share a great find***

hey there, nice blog =)

Today I received an email from Chelsea telling me she likes my blog. I was interested because I wasn't aware that people knew about my blog except to AP. As I am reading her email she expressed she liked the design and would like me to look at her blog. She told me that it's a new and she would like me to look around and give her feedback on what I think. From I can tell its a fashion blog that you give your advice/opinions on fashion, help others decide if clothing goes together and so on. I feel it's a great idea. I think I will explore a little more and go from there. Here's the link in case it's helpful to anyone else:

Let me know your thoughts!!

To do list

Month of August & September Goals:

Organize
  • clean out my office- organize paperwork, get all files cleaned out, get rid of school books -1/2 done. I worked on this ALL weekend. I have thrown out all magazines, papers that I don't need. I have organized my card making supplies, wedding decor & organized my desk!!!!!! I still need to clean out my filing cabinet and finish organizing the closet (getting rid of text books that I haven't looked at in 10+years)

  • prepare the office to paint- it is already light brown I am going to paint a horizontal stripe (like a chair rail) then paint the bottom half chocolate brown or sage green.
  • organize all decorations- Christmas, Spring, Fall
  • find curtains bathroom & bedroom (new shades)
  • Organize the upstairs spare room
  • re-organize upstairs furniture (move dressers, chair & desk)

It's a big list. I am out of town 2 weekends in August so I will need to schedule time to get this done during the week. I know I will feel so much better once everything is in order.
